Food and drink vendor spots at Phoenix-area car shows

As of Monday, November 2, 2026, from our live booking system. The booking pages always carry the current prices and spots left.

Food trucks, coffee carts, drinks and desserts: this is every upcoming Stacks Productions show, whether it takes food and drink vendors, and what a spot costs. Each price is the flat fee for that show.

Permits and licences

I sell food or drink. What are the rules?

First check the show page, because some shows take no food or drink vendors, and an application in a category a show does not take is denied. Where a show does take your category, you hold the required Maricopa County health permit and any cooking fire permit, follow food-safety law, and show your permits on request. Keep a Class K or ABC extinguisher within reach of cooking, have propane secured and approved by us, and dump no grease, greywater or ice on venue property. Food and drink vendors also carry the $1,000,000 general liability insurance described in our insurance article.

Do I need permits or a sales tax license to vend?

Yes, and they are yours to hold. You need every license, permit and registration required to sell, including your Arizona transaction privilege (sales) tax license and any city license the show's city requires, and you collect and pay your own sales tax. We do not verify permits, and we may share your business name and license numbers with the Arizona Department of Revenue or the city on request. Every sale is between you and your customer; we are not a party to it and we handle no customer refunds. If you cannot produce a license, permit or insurance certificate the venue or a public authority requires, you can be refused at the gate with no refund.

Official pages:

For the Downtown Chandler Cars & Coffee Vendor Market, the City of Chandler asks us for a vendor list 21 days before each market, so the application asks for your business address, your licence or Arizona TPT number and a primary contact. City business registration: business.chandleraz.gov.

I sell food or drink. Do I still need my county health permit?

Yes. The Chandler business registration and your county health permit are two different things, and neither one replaces the other.

Food and drink vendors hold the required Maricopa County health permit and any cooking fire permit, follow food-safety law and show permits on request. That is in the Vendor Agreement you sign before you pay, and it has not changed. Neither has the insurance rule: food and drink vendors carry commercial general liability cover of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence naming Stacks Productions and the venue as additional insureds.

You also go on the city's list like every other vendor: business address, licence or TPT number, primary contact name, phone and email. Check the show page first, because some shows take no food or drink vendors at all.

Space, power, fire and insurance

What is included in my spot, and what do I need to bring?

You get the size of space you bought and nothing else unless the show page says otherwise: no tent, table, chairs, power, water or internet. Bring everything you need, including your own canopy and weights. Every tent leg carries at least 40 pounds, and no stakes unless your vendor packet allows them. Sell and promote only from inside your spot, with no roaming sales, flyering or sampling elsewhere, and no amplified sound, drones or generators without our written approval. Set up within the load-in window, stay open for the whole show, and do not tear down early.

Can I run a generator, cook with an open flame, or park my vehicle in my booth?

A generator or an open flame needs our written approval, and so do amplified sound and drones. Ask in the notes box on your application, today labelled "Anything we should know?", before we charge you. If you asked there and we deny it after charging you, tell us in writing within 5 days of our notice and we refund that show; a generator or open flame first raised after we charged you still needs written approval, and a refusal then earns no refund. A vehicle inside the show footprint needs the $1,000,000 general liability cover plus auto liability. Vehicles move only during load-in and load-out, at walking speed, and must be leak-free; you pay for stains you cause.

Do I need insurance?

It depends on the show and on what you are doing there. The City of Chandler does not ask vendors at the Cars & Coffee Vendor Market in Downtown Chandler for insurance. What that market needs from you is a City of Chandler business registration, or your Arizona TPT number. Separately from the city, the Vendor Agreement you sign still requires commercial general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, naming Stacks Productions and the venue as additional insureds, if you sell food or drink, use cooking equipment, an open flame or a generator, bring a vehicle inside the show footprint, or perform services on attendees. A plain 10x10 selling goods from a table is strongly advised to carry it but is not required to. Any venue insurance requirement appears on the show page before you apply.

Card hold, decision, weather and the guarantee

What is the hold on my card when I apply?

When you apply for a vendor spot or a sponsor tier we place an authorization hold on your card for the full price. A hold is not a charge: your issuer reserves the funds and no money moves to us. The amount is shown before you submit, and the box you tick says a hold is being placed now and charged only if your application is approved. Holds last about 7 days on cards processed by Stripe. If your card will not authorize, the application does not complete and no spot is held for you.

How long does it take to hear back about my application?

We aim to decide within 7 days, which is about as long as a card hold lasts. If we approve you, we capture the hold and email your confirmation; your spot is confirmed once the charge succeeds. If we deny you, the hold is released and you pay nothing. If you have heard nothing and the show is close, email streamlinestudiosaz@gmail.com or stacksprod@gmail.com, or text +1 480 640 6882.

What happens if it rains, or if it is too hot?

Shows are outdoors and run rain or shine, including heat. We only cancel or pause a show for safety, such as lightning, high wind, flooding or an excessive-heat order, or when the venue or the authorities require it. A show that opens is delivered in full: a late start, an early close or an evacuation for weather or safety is not a cancellation and earns no refund or credit. If we shorten a show by more than half its advertised hours for a reason within our control, you receive a credit of 50% of your spot price.

What if Stacks cancels or moves the show after I have paid?

If we cancel a show before it opens, for any reason, you choose a full refund of that show's fee or a credit of equal value toward a future show. If we reschedule, your spot carries to the new date; tell us in writing within 7 days of our notice, or before the new date if that comes sooner, that you cannot make it and we treat it as cancelled. A credit equals what you paid for that show, can be used on any spot or add-on at any show within 12 months, is not transferable and has no cash value, and you pay any difference in price. If we hold no show taking your category in those 12 months, or we stop producing shows, the credit converts to a refund on request, and refunds reach your card within 10 business days.

Do you offer a guarantee or money back?

We guarantee delivery of the event services your booking lists, by their deadlines. If we miss one, you get your full fee for that show back, to the card you paid with; on a purchase that covers several shows it is that show's share. Sales, leads, attendance, profits and weather are not guaranteed, and a show that opens and is shortened for weather still counts as delivered. If we cancel a show, you choose a full refund of that show's fee or a credit. Vendors at their first eligible event whose gross sales come in under their booth fee get a Repeat Event Booth Credit: an equivalent booth at another of our regular shows with an open spot, within six months, if they checked in at the gate, staffed the booth for the full show hours and sent a sales summary within 7 days. It is a booth, never cash, one per vendor. Claims within 7 days after the show at stacksos.org/guarantee; we answer within 3 business days.
